$10,000 for HopeLine

From my reader:

Thanks to you, PostSecret won the MySpace Impact Award for "organizations or individuals who are making a difference".

Along with the award comes a check for $10,000.00. I asked MySpace to make the check out to the Kristin Brooks Hope Center, not PostSecret. That way 100% of the money could go directly towards suicide prevention.

Thank you for helping PostSecret win this award and thank you for making a difference in HopeLine and the world.

You may know of Reese's important work with HopeLine, but behind the scenes Reese has helped me many times with PostSecret and with some of the community members who contact me directly.

Occasionally, I get desperate emails from people that I am not equipt to respond to. In the past, I have forwarded these to Reese who is much better qualified to offer help. For the first time, with permission, read the personal emails.
